Bounkit was born from a simple but powerful observation: there was a gap between mass-produced costume jewelry and the rarefied world of fine jewelry — and nothing truly beautiful living in between.
Designer Hassan Bounkit grew up in Morocco, where color, craft, and adornment were woven into everyday life. He went on to study fashion design in Florence, Italy, immersing himself in the traditions of Italian couture before moving to New York City, where he collaborated with some of the pioneers of American fashion. It was there, at the intersection of Old World craftsmanship and New York edge, that Bounkit the brand took shape.
What sets Bounkit apart is both its materials and its ingenuity. Each piece is crafted with semi-precious stones, offering the richness of fine jewelry at an accessible luxury price point. And many pieces do more than one thing: earring can be styled up to four ways and drops convert into pendants, necklaces transform into brooches — designed for the woman who wants versatility without sacrificing beauty.

In 2006, Hassan launched his own jewelry design and handcrafting company — and the industry took notice.
